Dr. Gifford's Background
Professionally, I am an educator of fifteen years with a Doctorate degree in Transnational Sociology. My teaching experience focuses on topics of social justice and global inequalities particularly related to gender, race, social class, and migration.
Personally, I am a fiercely resilient survivor of the many challenges common to those born into dysfunctional households. I have been on my own healing journey for over twenty years now, used many modalities, and always been a mentor and guide for others along the path.
I am also a single-mother to an amazing daughter who has been the greatest reward of my healing journey and the greatest catalyst for further growth and progress.
